Transport from and to Melbourne
Need transport to camp? Cave Hill Creek also provides accompanied return transport to camp from Southern Cross. If you would like your child to use this service it is essential to pre-book with us. Tickets are $60pp return. Details to be confirmed closer to camp.
What information do I need to provide when I book?
When you book your child's place on camp we will request contact, medical and dietary and other details. This ensures we can best care for your child.
What do I bring on camp?
When you book we will send you a booking confirmation by email. It includes a packing list (including what not to bring) for camp.
Can I request to share a room with a friend?
Campers are grouped according to age for their activities, and cabins are specific to age group and gender. Requests to share activity groups / rooms with friends can be made at time of booking. We will do our best to accommodate these requests.
Children with Special Needs
While Cave Hill Creek is an inclusive and friendly camp, our staff do not have specialised skills to care for campers with special needs and requiring additional care. If your child has special needs please call and discuss with us before making a booking. We are not NDIS registered. For children with special needs we suggest contacting People Outdoors (03 9863 6824) who run numerous programs throughout the state, varying from day activities through to five-day camps.
Cave Hill Creek is a COVID-19 safe venue. Summer Camp will be conducted within Victorian COVID-19 guidelines relevant at the time. This may include pre camp testing and or vaccinations. Requirements will be advised prior to camp. You will be entitled to a full refund in the event Govt restrictions require camp to be cancelled, or do not allow your child to attend having:
- tested positive to COVID-19,
- been instructed to isolate due to illness or being a close contact, or
- awaiting a test result
- medical certificate or COVID-19 testing evidence required
Full payment is required at time of booking for Early Bird and Returning Camper registrations. Installment payments available for Individual and Family registrations (50% on booking/50% 5th Jan 2022).
What's the cancellation / refund policy?
You can transfer to a different camp (subject to availability) or cancel and request a full refund up to 14 days prior to camp. All transfer requests / cancellations should be in writing to firstname.lastname@example.org. A $100 administration fee will apply to refunds for all cancellations not related to COVID-19.
What are arrival and departure times?
Arrival: Please arrive for registration between 10.30-11.15am Monday. A Welcome and Opening Ceremony will be held at 11.30am.
Departure: A Farewell and Closing Ceremony will be held at 11.30am, followed by light lunch with final departure by 1pm. Please arrive to collect your child from 12.30pm Friday.
Current COVID restrictions do not permit parents/carers to attend the Opening/Closing Ceremonies, however if guidelines change to permit this, we will update the information.
